Biodiversity
We carry out biodiversity studies, especially flora and fauna. They are essential to understand the variety of species that exist in the geographical area of a project and how they interact with each other, with the environment and with the future project. To carry out biodiversity studies, we use different techniques and methodologies that depend on the specific objectives of the study and on the characteristics of the region to be studied. Some of these techniques are the sampling of species by means of direct observation or using other devices (ultrasonic detectors, phototrapping,...)
We also carry out spatial data analysis with Geographic Information Systems to analyze the spatial distribution of species and their relationship with the environmental characteristics of the study area.
We consider these studies indispensable to understand the ecological and evolutionary processes that occur in ecosystems and to design strategies for the conservation of species and habitats. In addition, they are useful for decision-making in environmental policies and natural resource management.
