Biodiversity
We carry out biodiversity studies, focusing especially flora and fauna. These studies are essential to understand the variety of species that exist in the geographical area of a project and how they interact with each other, with the environment and with the development of the project. To carry out biodiversity studies, we use different techniques and methodologies that depend on the specific objectives of the study and on the characteristics of the region under study. Some of these methods include species sampling through direct observation or using devices (ultrasound detectors, camera traps…).
We also conduct spatial data analysis with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to analyze the spatial distribution of species and their relationship with the environmental characteristics of the study area.
We consider these studies indispensable for understanding the ecological and evolutionary processes that occur within ecosystems and for designing species and habitat conservation strategies. In addition, they are useful for decision-making in environmental policies and natural resource management.
