This holiday we decided not to stray too far from our passions and to enter the heart of the Serranía Alta de Cuenca, inside the Serranía de Cuenca Natural Park, specifically in the Hosquillo, Hunting Park.
At the entrance we are greeted by vultures with their majestic flight in use of thermal power plants, after entering the museum to observe taxidermic species such as bears, deer, roe deer, mountain goats, wild boars or wolves that delight the little ones, not before receiving the cordial greetings of Merlina, a young deer very used to the visitor's hand.
We take a short walk between steep slopes covered by pine, yew, holly, boxwood, hazel,... and we pass over the crystal clear waters of the Escabas River where the otter may be frolicking hidden, so we arrive at the feeding area for the wolves, where we can see them a few meters away.
We ended the visit by observing the majestic bears that live here without the admiration they arouse.
A great day that we recommend to children and adults and shows that Castilla La Mancha is a great region full of life, as the great Félix Rodríguez de la Fuente already showed when portraying this Natural Park in his acclaimed series Man and the Earth.
