Discover the new features of the new Acoustic Quality Regulation in Andalusia and how our experience in acoustic studies contributes to their application and compliance.
Today, the Decree 50/2025, of February 24, which approves the Regulations for the preservation of acoustic quality in Andalusia, a key regulation in the evaluation and control of environmental noise in infrastructures, activities and industries. In Environmental Ideas, as specialized environmental consultants, we want to inform you of these new regulations and share with you how we carry out acoustic studies adapted to current regulatory requirements.
Experience in acoustic studies
From Environmental Ideas we have been developing for years acoustic studies in various sectors, both independently and in collaboration with companies that are experts in noise and vibrations. We evaluate the impact of noise primarily on:
- Renewable energies: wind farms, photovoltaic plants, substations and lately in battery energy storage systems (BESS), ensuring compliance with acoustic emission limit values.
- Industries and productive activities such as mining and treatment plants.
- Urban areas: acoustic impact studies in municipalities and acoustic easement areas.
We work to ensure acoustic impact assessment in different environments and our experience allows us to analyze each case to ensure regulatory compliance following these guidelines:
- Regulatory Compliance: we apply the established methodology ensuring compliance with the acoustic quality objectives and sound input limit values depending on the acoustic zoning of the environment.
- Miscellaneous measuring equipment: we use Class 1 sound level meters, ensuring maximum precision in our acoustic measurements.
- Collaboration with certified entities: When the project requires certified acoustic tests or regulatory inspections, we work with Collaborating Entities in Environmental Quality (ECA) accredited according to the Decree 334/2012 or other equivalent regulations in the rest of Spain.

The new Decree 50/2025 and the importance of acoustic control
The new Regulations for the preservation of acoustic quality in Andalusia reinforces the need to perform rigorous acoustic studies to assess the impact of noise on the environment and human health. These regulations:
- Requires acoustic studies for any infrastructure, installation or activity likely to generate noise pollution.
- Define noise limit values according to the typology of the acoustic area.
- Regulate acoustic zoning and the development of noise maps and action plans.
- It requires the use of certified equipment and standard methodologies in the evaluation of noise.
