The current environmental culture is committed to reducing the massive or unnecessary consumption of paper in traditional formats, to this fact is added the responsible or sustainable use at the origin of paper: the FSCO (Non-governmental, independent, non-profit organization established to promote responsible forest management), not to mention efficient manufacturing by reducing the consumption of water and other raw materials.
To continue on the path of reducing paper consumption, and without forgetting that paper continues to play an “important role” in sustainable development, we see how, following innovation criteria, the current RFID chips are applied to paper, providing it with greater information in the minimum space, transmitting the identity of an object through radio waves.
RFID chips have been in use for years in sectors such as mobile telephony or in legal tender notes, and now they are part of the paper.
