On December 18, 2014, Decision 2000/532/EC on the waste list was amended, in accordance with Directive 2008/98/EC of the European Parliament and the Council.
This amendment responds to the provisions of Article 7.1 of the Waste Framework Directive, which provides for the updating of the list of wastes established in Commission Decision 2000/532/EC, and occurs once Annex III of the Waste Framework Directive has been amended, on the characteristics of wastes that allow them to be classified as hazardous, with the publication of Regulation (EU) 1357/2014, which adapts the definition of hazardous waste to the new regulations on chemical products, specifically, to the provisions of the Regulation (EC) ) 1272/2008 of the European Parliament and of the Council, of December 16, 2008, on classification, labeling and packaging of substances and mixtures, and amending and repealing Directives 67/548/EEC and 1999/45/EC and amending Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006.
