On October 14, the Resolution of 29/09/2014, of the General Directorate of Mountains and Natural Spaces, through which a hearing is given to those interested in the file: Draft Order of the Ministry of Agriculture regulating mycological exploitation in the Autonomous Community of Castilla-La Mancha.
The objective of this order is to harmonize and organize mycological uses and their collection techniques in the territory of the autonomous community of La Mancha, to prevent potential damage to forest ecosystems and soils, to the integrity of the harvested fungi themselves, their mycelia and hyphae, and to guarantee the sustainable use of this natural resource in harmony with respect for property and the legitimate right of local rural communities to obtain income and their development, with the objective of avoiding excessive pressure in their collection which clearly threatens the sustainability of the species being exploited.
- The draft of the Order establishes three types of mycological uses: Recreational collection: occasional collection and for self-consumption, which will not exceed 3 kilos per person per day, carried out in mountains owned by the Regional Government of Castilla-La Mancha, in general, for the rest of the mountains managed by the Regional Government of Castilla-La Mancha, recreational use will be carried out by the owner of the forest or person authorized by him, also fulfilling the maximum of 3 kilos/person per day.

- Commercial use: one for which the owner of the forest land or forest intends to obtain a regulated economic return through a sustainable forest management instrument, for which purpose a setero or truffle barracks will be created, regulated by a sustainable forest management instrument and/or subject to the technical-optional conditions for the use of mushrooms and mushrooms. Among the commercial use, we find that carried out in forests managed by the Regional Government of Castilla - La Mancha and that carried out in privately owned forests, and in public assets and state forests not managed by the Regional Government of Castilla-La Mancha with different peculiarities depending on the Order.
- Collection for scientific and/or educational purposes: collection that is carried out for the purpose of scientific, taxonomic study or as part of educational and training activities; including excursions or activities organized by groups or societies that demonstrate interest in the knowledge and conservation of mycological resources and should always be reported to the Peripheral Services of the Ministry of Agriculture. This scientific and educational permit will give the right to collect up to ten (10) specimens of any fungal species by permission, and will be granted to the entity that supports the activity, stating in it the person responsible for the collection.
