We have carried out a survey of the presence of the species Silene mariana in the areas affected by the works of the power line of the pumping and turbine station of the La Breña II dam, in the municipality of Almodóvar del Río (Córdoba).
Silene mariana It is an annual herbaceous plant, endemic to the south of the Iberian Peninsula. In addition, among the elements that give quality and importance to the Guadiato-Bembézar Site of Community Importance (SCI) (ES6130007) is this species, a plant included in both Annex II and Annex IV of the Habitat Directive.
The objective was to determine the presence of any specimen of Silene mariana in the field of prospecting, implementing where appropriate the necessary preventive measures in order to avoid the affection and/or destruction of the species resulting from the actions of the works.
