Sustainable tourism project in La Alcarria Sur

An example of our experience in action is the project we have recently on, promoted by the Association for Local Development of the Southern Alcarria of Guadalajara (ADASUR). At La Alcarria Sur, we had the privilege of working together with ADASUR and other leading players in the territory on an ambitious project to promote a more sustainable and inclusive tourism model. From a detailed technical diagnosis to the creation of a road map, our approach integrated analysis of natural, cultural and social resources, combined with participatory processes involving the local actors involved.

The success of this and other initiatives related to sustainable tourism requires more than just well-designed planning: it depends on commitment and Active Involvement of the Network of Actors of the territory, and of the good design and implementation of multiplatform solutions that allow the promotion, management and optimization of resources and experiences Tourists of a Destination. These tools, as already mentioned, can include digital platforms such as web viewers, mobile applications and interactive audio guide systems, as well as physical materials such as interpretive signage, thematic maps and route books. The objective is to facilitate access to information, enrich the visitor experience and highlight heritage, cultural and natural resources in an attractive, inclusive and sustainable way, encouraging tourists to connect with the territory.

A practical example launched by ADASUR in collaboration with the technical team of Ideas MedioAmbiental has been Tourist Visor of the region, as an innovative tool designed to optimize the visitor experience and promote the enhancement of the natural and cultural heritage of the territory. This digital viewer integrates interactive maps, detailed information on tourist resources, customizable routes and georeferenced points of interest, all accessible from any device. In addition, it is designed for enrichment and gradual development by the management entities themselves for the incorporation of new multimedia elements such as images, videos and audio guides, offering an immersive and dynamic experience. Its intuitive and accessible design allows both tourists and the local population to explore and plan their visit efficiently, promoting inclusive, sustainable tourism aligned with the needs of the destination.
