La Declaration of Community Interest (DIC), as an exclusive urban planning procedure for the Valencian Community, has its days numbered.
What is the Declaration of Community Interest (DIC)?
It is a technical document that justifies the need to implement industrial, productive, tertiary and service activities on undeveloped land. A complex procedure that combines urban and environmental issues and the need for a location on undeveloped land and that requires a detailed analysis of urban and environmental conditions derived from supramunicipal Territorial Action Plans.
Why is the Declaration of Community Interest (DIC) deleted?
Developers of photovoltaic (and other) installations will no longer be required to obtain their DEC to deal with your projects, which will speed up the processing of this type of file and thus avoid the delay of the requests submitted.
The measures to be taken
It is expected that photovoltaic installations that receive a favorable report on landscape and land planning will be exempted from DIC on undeveloped land. This modification of the LOTUP will simplify the bureaucratic procedures that previously only applied to solar plants of less (or equal to) 5 MW and that had an area of less than 10 ha and that also covered “the minimum plot required by urban planning”, not less than one hectare.
