What does the strategy recommend and what objectives does it set?
The diagnosis and recommendations set out in the document are generally applicable to other bird species linked to agrarian environments.
The objectives of the Strategy are the recovery of these, for what are initially defined, Critical Areas, Areas of Importance that include Food Zones and Post-reproductive and Winter Concentration Zones, and Other Areas of Interest.
To meet the objectives, a set of actions is proposed that include management measures for their habitat, as well as for the populations of the species themselves.
Finally, the corresponding Working Group under the Committee on Wild Flora and Fauna is established as a technical coordinating body between administrations.
