As an entrepreneur of the batch of the EGB I can't think of a title that better identifies our role as “solvers” and the large group of people who carry it out. They are the ones who allow Environmental Ideas continue to mature and have more and more clients and friends who are satisfied with a job well attended to or simply with the certainty that we have made their challenges our own.
Some of our fans will remember the start of Team A.“in 1972 four of the best men in the American army who formed a command, were imprisoned for a crime they had not committed, they soon escaped from the prison in which they were being held, today still wanted by the government they survive as soldiers of fortune, if you have any problems and you find them you may be able to hire them...”

My version for “Team i” would be something like this... “in 1999 four good friends pupils of the UCLM they made the decision to bet on their own professional project, were imprisoned in their parental homes and branded as unconscious because they were not the most stable employment alternative, but they soon emancipated themselves and made their idea a reality, demonstrating that they had made the right decision while maintaining the same enthusiasm and courage. Today, even somewhat misunderstood, they earn their living as environmental consultants, if you have an environmental problem with your project you can find them on Google,...”
The “i” team
After this informal intro with a touch of humor, which I understand as fundamental in life, together with effort, perseverance and enthusiasm, “The i Team” are not its four founders, much less, it is made up of these and the total number of people who have made it possible to write this post in 2018 with some knowledge in the subject on which I give my opinion.
Un good equipment is essential and the pillar on which any project is based, and I add that its greatness is not measured by the number of people who compose it, gender, age or education of its members, and if by their worth and talent. Qualities that, if they really exist and promote in a work team, make it possible to meet strategic objectives such as specialization, innovation, creating new lines of business,...; together with others of internal functioning such as the distribution of tasks, training or communication.
During these 18 years we have had highly specialized colleagues with an admirable vocation and, by extension, dedicated to work that they are passionate about, issues that I am increasingly clear about are fundamental to having the ingredients that make an idea work and, above all, last.
I want this post to be first and foremost a recognition to all the people who have believed or continue to believe in Environmental Ideas, to whom they have dedicated or dedicate a large part of their time, and who have shared or share professional and human qualities, as well as a welcome welcome to those who join in the future.
My final reflection in work teams, which can be extended to relationships with customers and suppliers, is that there is nothing more motivating and critical in a company than being certain that other people outside your circle of trust decide to join, integrate or count on your project; just as important is that its leader knows how to team up, motivate and guide you, a challenge that is not easy that concerns me (and even more worries me) concluding this post because I am not friends with his good friends and colleagues; closing it as I began with Hannibal Smith's phrase :
“I love that the plans work out”
With a good team it's easy to make that happen, and with good reason Hannibal looked very confident and smiling when he closed the chapter.
