Environmental Ideas in Ibiza

Ideas MedioAmbiental will soon begin the environmental impact assessment procedure for the implementation of the necessary authorizations for the execution of one of the actions provided for in the Protocol and the Action and Infrastructure Program, specifically on the island of Ibiza.

On March 4, 2009, the MARM and the Government of the Balearic Islands signed the General Collaboration Protocol for the execution of the National Water Quality Plan: sanitation and purification 2007-2015. This National Plan, which will make it possible to achieve the good ecological state of rivers, seeks both to respond to the objectives not achieved with the previous Sanitation and Treatment Plan 1995-2005, and to comply with the Water Framework Directive and the Directive on urban wastewater treatment.

The agreement established the basic scheme of collaboration between both administrations for the development of a series of actions established in the Protocol, including actions in municipalities integrated into the Natura 2000 Network and primarily for those integrated into National Parks, incorporated into specific plans for the management and management of natural resources, or with planning with a diagnosis and proposals for action to ensure water quality objectives.
